Requirements

You must be of marriageable age, you must not be married to someone else, both must be consenting, and not in a prohibited relationship. Also, you will need a minimum of one month’s notice to to marry (there’s a form for this).

Choosing Your Celebrant

You picked me (thank you!) now we begin the fun. We will arrange another meet up so I can get to know you both better, and find out the details of your wedding day. At this point, 50% of my fee will be locked in as a deposit, with the remainder paid seven days prior to the ceremony.

Complete the NOIM

This is the first form we sign together. It is essentially a declaration saying you are ready and rearing to get married to your significant other. It captures details such as full names, occupation, address place of birth, any prior marriages ending.

You must complete, and sign your NOIM witnessed by an authorised person. I can be the witness, or you can take it to an authorised person (JP, GP, Police Officer, Solicitor, Notary Public, Minister of Religion or another Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant) then scan and email your NOIM to lodge it. This must occur no later than 1 month before your ceremony date and no sooner than 18 months before your ceremony.

You will also need to show me some photo ID & proof of birth. There might be some other ID documents needed, but we can cover that off in our first session.

Designing the Ceremony

We will work on the outline of the ceremony to make sure it is what you want. This will include elements such as readings, poems, organising music, who will be your witnesses etc. I will also send you & your partner a questionnaire so I can personalise the ceremony as much as possible.

One Week Out

I’ll confirm all the details, the final installment of fees is paid.

On The Day

I will arrive at your venue early, and can bring a PA system if needed. I will be ready and rearing to go.

Post Ceremony

I will stick around for a quick cuddle & photo (some bubbles if on offer!) and then it’s left to you and your loved ones to party. I will lodge the paperwork within a couple of days, email you the details, and request for photos once they arrive and a testimonial so I can keep in the celebrant game.
